Sharjah’s 2018 water production hits 37bln gallons of water

Governmental sector consumption was at 9 per cent, industrial at 5 per cent and agricultural at 0.1 per cent
The amount of water produced in Sharjah during 2018, reached more than 37 billion gallons of water, according to the latest statistics issued by the Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority (Sewa). The statistics also revealed that the biggest share of water consumption was by the residential sector with almost 62 per cent (17.2 billion gallons) while commercial sector consumed 24 per cent (6.7 billion gallons), said the statement from Sewa. Governmental sector consumption was at 9 per cent, industrial at 5 per cent and agricultural at 0.1 per cent, it stated. Chairman Dr Rashid Al Leem said that Sewa is exerting great efforts to produce, desalinate and distribute water to consumers and is making efforts to raise awareness about the importance of water conservation and use it optimally.

Etihad Airways says it has acquired the shares held by Armaguard Linfox Group (Australia) in Armaguard Valuables Management Etihad Airways has announced that it acquired the shares held by Armaguard Linfox Group (Australia) in Abu Dhabi-based joint venture Armaguard Valuables Management (AVM).
