Cargo ship catches fire in PH waters

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, June 17) — A cargo ship caught fire Saturday near Recto Bank (international name: Reed Bank), the Coast Guard reported.
The Coast Guard received a report from a foreign counterpart that M/V Diamond Highway, identified by tracking websites as a Panaman vehicle carrier, was still on fire as of Monday, 1:39 p.m., said Commander Armand Balilio of the Coast Guard Public Affairs Office.
Balilio said the ship has 25 crew members and bound for Manila from Singapore, adding that Bulk Carrier Canupos Leader now heading to Thailand has rescued all crew members.
He said patrol vessel BRP Cabra is preparing to extinguish the fire on the ship.
The Coast Guard has not responded to questions about the cause of fire on the ship operated by transportation company K Line.

Etihad Airways says it has acquired the shares held by Armaguard Linfox Group (Australia) in Armaguard Valuables Management Etihad Airways has announced that it acquired the shares held by Armaguard Linfox Group (Australia) in Abu Dhabi-based joint venture Armaguard Valuables Management (AVM).
